The Graduate Student Association created the ProfessionalDevelopmentFund to reimburse a portion of a graduate student's fees in attending conferences, competing in competitions, participating in case studies, and more across the US and remotely.
The professionaldevelopmentfund is available to current degree-seeking, master-level graduate students (available to both part-time and full-time students). At this time, the professionaldevelopmentfund will only cover registration fees.
ProfessionalDevelopment Grants are provided to graduate students on a reimbursement basis. Graduate students may receive funds for one professionaldevelopment opportunity per term.
Before applying for a Professional DevelopmentFund, applicants should know the following details regarding the opportunity:
Name of opportunity
Registration costs to attend
Name and email of a Bentley faculty member who can confirm that the opportunity is beneficial
Two short essays (200 words max each):
Tell us why you want to participate in the opportunity. What type of impact will participating have on you?
How will you share your experience with others? What type of impact will your experience have on others within the graduate school community?
Applications must be received by December 4, 2020. Decisions will be sent to applicants by December 18, 2020. Applications are reviewed by a committee of staff and faculty members who work directly with graduate students. Graduate students will be notified if their application was approved or denied by the Graduate Student Association. No funds can be released without the approval of the Graduate Student Association, and their decisions on ProfessionalDevelopmentFund applications are final.
